Traditional Balkan Music on Classical Guitar
"Soulful virtuosity on the guitar" so already the Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote about the guitarist Denis Omerovic. The artist was born in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and he brings his diverse work alongside the classical period, different styles of music with world music sounds international hue. The musical impressions of his career, he bundled in several successful CD productions.
After several awards at competitions in his home in the former Yugoslavia, he also received first prizes at the international guitar competitions in Recanati and Bardolino. Since these successes, he performs regularly throughout Europe as a soloist and in various senior chamber ensembles. His musical collaboration in the world of classical music is very dear to him, and he studied with Talia Or(soprano), Debra Fernandes (soprano), Giuseppe del Duca (tenor), Alen Garagic (guitar), Christoph Bach Huber (flute), Beni Santora (cello), Ariel Zuckermann(flute), Nina Karmon (violin) and David Frühwirth (violin) famous peers f u r its specific programs.
Denis Omerovic played already world-famous Bu TEETH such as the National Theatre in Mü nchen, KKL Luzern or Max Littmann hall in Bad Kissingen, just to name a few. He also plays as a solo guitarist at the Bavarian State Opera Mü nchen and the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt.
But his interest in music is not only limited to the field of classical music. As a soloist, but also in a duo with Irena Madzoski shields and as a member of various international estimated world music bands, including "Montparnasse" and "Konnexion balcony", he plays regularly at international festivals and on radio and television productions. And really special is finally his regular cooperation with well-known actors such as Mario Adorf, Tobias Maehler and Martin Spitzweck. This wonderful symbiosis of text and music was already evident bre h in his work and is very dear to him.
In addition to performing, he regularly gives master classes at various European music academies and has a teaching position at the college Heerbrugg (St. Gallen) holds.
In earlier years he began taking guitar lessons with Prof. Mila Rakanovic in his hometown of Sarajevo. This was followed by further studies in Geneva (Prof. Maria Livia Sao Marcos), Cologne (Prof. Thomas Mü ller-Pering) and Munich (Prof. Harald Lillmeyer). In order to expand his musical horizons, he studied recently at the Music Academy in Lucerne, where he studied with Prof. Frank Bungarten, the Echo Award Winners - graduated instrumentalist of the year, the concert class with great success.
